Terms and Conditions for participating in internet-based Events.

Technical Requirements
Our events are broadcasted in different bandwidths including ISDN quality. Before logging into the event, every participant should ensure that the computer to be used to participate meets the necessary technical requirements and that it has an efficient connection to the Internet.

Login and Login Confirmation
By logging into an event, the participant confirms that the computer meets the technical requirements needed to take part in our live events.

Cost of Participation
The cost of participating for an event is listed at the event micro-site and prices are VAT chargeable. Payment can be made automatically upon registration by debit transfer or credit card, and payment by invoice is due on receipt. Payment of the participation charge only entitles participation of the registered person. Additional participants have to be registered separately. The event micro-site provides details of group discounts.

Scope of Service
The participation fee includes – unless otherwise specified – a one-time download of the presentations used by the speakers.

Cancellation/Substitute
Cancellation of participation needs to be given in writing. It is free to cancel until 14 days before the beginning of the event and 50% of the registration fee is due if cancellation is made within 7 days of the event. All later cancellations will be charged in full. In case you cannot attend the event personally we will accept a replacement without any extra charge. To avoid people attending with the wrong identity it is not allowed to forward access data to third parties at any time – including post-event.

Disruptions in Transmission
Informa VBC ensures that data is technically and correctly transmitted via its media server. Unfortunately, we cannot influence data traffic between a participant’s computer and its internet service provider, or any general deviation of quality caused by heavy internet traffic. Therefore we do not accept any liability beyond our own data transmission.

Programme Changes
We reserve the right to change the program due to reasons beyond our control (e.g. last-minute cancellation by a speaker). If an event is cancelled for organizational or other reasons, the full cost of participation will be reimbursed. Claims over and above this are excluded.
